Ukrainian team of designers and artists for the first time in the history of independent Ukraine will participate in PARIS DESIGN WEEK 2016. The project “Flights in dreams and in reality”, a result of the cooperation of designers, architects, ceramists, and artists, will become one of the important events that take place in Europe involving the Ukrainian cultural community. The exhibition will be held at Ukrainian Cultural Center in Paris (22, avenue de Messine, 75008 Paris) from 2 to 10 September 2016.

“FLIGHTS IN DREAMS AND IN REALITY”
Art and Design
A human being always strives for learning unexplored and for the feeling of freedom. Our fantasies and dreams boosted scientific and technical progress. We saw the Earth from a bird’s eye view and learned about the existence of other planets, but we do not stop at this. A human being, temporarily limited by technology, again and again, gives rein to imagination, trying to bring its fragments to life. Dreams, fantasies, and reality formed the basis of this multimedia exhibition and performance. Despite the fact that flights of soul and imagination will always be incomprehensible, we hope that the works of Ukrainian designers and artists will give you the possibility to experience the freedom of a flight and to daydream.
The event is held with the support of the Embassy of Ukraine in France.

Architect-designer, co-founder of design and architectural studio 2B.Group. Co-founder of conceptual space Prostir86, whose activities are aimed at promoting design development in Ukraine.
“The main mission of the space Prostir86 is developing cooperation between designers and manufacturers. As a practicing architect since 2004, I can give evidence as to how the approach of object designers and Ukrainian manufacturers of furniture, lighting and accessories changed over the years. This movement forward is very inspiring.
Within the framework of Paris Design Week, we will present works of Ukrainian creators, some of which have already received REDDOT awards and were brought into high-volume manufacturing. Each designer will present his/her individual works, also we will present some interesting joint projects, creation of which can be seen directly at the exhibition“.
