The 2017 annual Dutch Design Week starts on October 21. For the first time, an independent Ukrainian project, Creative Ukraine. Between Tradition and Innovation, is presented at the event. The Ukrainian Exhibition is located at the Temporary Art Centre (TAC) of the venue.
“Our goal is to draw the attention of international community to the creative segment in Ukraine. Our exposition is quite diverse. We are exhibiting traditional techniques that we deem important to preserve in the age of robotics, as well as technologically advanced items – a new and unusual trend in Ukrainian industrial design. Objects of contemporary signature design are also displayed,” – Olga Bogdanova, project curator, said in an interview.
Event participants include (Ukrainian) national design bureaus and studios working in various fields: Nottdesign – a studio from Dnipropetrovsk that holds several Red Dot Design Awards and is characterized by bold artistic design.
